VARDAMAN - Nora Virginia Hill Blue, 79, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at her residence. She was born July 28, 1924, in Chickasaw County to Leo and Virgie Lucius Hill. She was an active member of Vardaman First Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed working in her flowers and being part of the Merry Hearts Group at her church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Vardaman First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Easley and the Rev. Jeff Harmon officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Parker Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Paulette Nelson and her husband, Larry, of Vardaman; one sister, Louise Dismuke of Vardaman; two brothers, James Hill of Atlanta and John Hill of Texas; three grandchildren, Debbie Gibson and her husband, Al, of Brandon, Damon Nelson and his wife, Tania, of Vardaman, and Fandaci Earnest and her husband, David, of Vardaman; eight great-grandchildren, Savannah Holliday, Derek, Kelsey and Caitlin Nelson, Christopher, Palmer and Addison Earnest, and Brennon Gibson; one great-great-grandchildren, C.J. Holliday.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Paul Blue, on Dec. 17, 1998.
Pallbearers will be Damon Nelson, Derek Nelson, David Earnest, Al Gibson, Kenny Dismuke and Jan Hill.
