Jack Abbott, age 69, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006.
Mr. Abbott was born November 11, 1936 in Bismarck, the son of Wylie Abbott and Mattie Davenport Abbott. He was married October 29, 1957 to Sally Anderson. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, four brothers and a granddaughter.
He was retired from the Village Super Center and was a member of the Cowboy Church of Hot Springs where he was a deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Abbott of Hot Springs; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Robin Abbott of North Little Rock, Billy and Kim Abbott of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Bobby and Daphne Abbott of Jonesboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Darrell Watts of Springdale; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Martha McCaslin and her husband Authur Ray McCaslin of Hot Springs, and Lola Pope of Hot Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Geneva Abbott of Malvern; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.
Interment will be in Mountain Valley Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Randy Abbott, Floyd Abbott, Darrell Watts, Bunnie Stewart, Chester Shaw, Max Manasco.
