Norman Edsel Amy, current resident of warren and former longtime resident of Roseville, died peacefully Wednesday late afternoon in his home surrounded by the love of his family. He was 78 years of age.
Norman was born in Warren on June 30, 1927, son of the late Claude B. and Frona Muriel (Haun) Amy. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. On July 25, 1952, he was united in marriage to his beloved Betty Koeppen. The couple resided in Roseville and their union was blessed with three beautiful children. Betty passed away on September 3, 1974. Norman was a Pilot and Aircraft mechanic for the U.S. Government for 25 years, retiring in 1982. Norman was then united in marriage to his loving wife, Rachel, on October 24, 1996 and the couple resided in Warren. Norman loved hunting. He also enjoyed marksman competition and video making. Above all, he was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by the many he has touched in his lifetime.
Norman is survived by his dear wife, Rachel; loving children, Douglas, Dale (Jennifer), and Lynne (Bob) Pichi; cherished grandchildren, Galen, Kira, Caitlin, and Jessica; beloved sisters, Claudine Beutel, Maxine Koeppen, and Bonnie Haberl; and six step-children. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty and brother Robert.
Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Saturday 6pm- 9pm, Sunday 2pm- 9pm, and Monday 10am until the time of funeral service at 11am.
