Ralph Lewis Ables, age 71, of Vicksburg, MS died Sunday, August 27, 2006 at Olive Branch Nursing Home in Tallulah, LA. He was born in Harrell, AR. He was a former resident of Camden and also Reedsport, OR. He had been a resident of Vicksburg, MS since 1980. He was a retired millwright for International Paper Company, having retired after 47 years of employment.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clydell Ables and daughter, Vickie Ables. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ables of Vicksburg, MS; daughters, Anne Haskell of Salem, OR and Dawn Almond of Brandon, MS; brother, Edward Ables of Salem, OR; sisters, Pauline Smith of Pine Bluff, Ruby Sloan of Camden, Jane Frey of Cabot, and Erma Johnson of Prentiss, MS; and mother-in-law, Ada Mahan of Camden.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, MS. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Bethesda Cemetery in Camden. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
