1937 - 2006
EAST FAIRFIELD – Francis Wayne “Andy” Andrews, age 69, husband of Diane (Mitchell) Andrews passed away Wednesday December 13, 2006 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility on Burlington.

He was born August 17, 1937 in St. Albans, VT the son of the late Ernest & Leona (Berger) Andrews.

Andy was a resident of East Fairfield most of his life and was a communicant and active member of St. Anthony’s and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church’s. He was a member of the East Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department. Andy was also a former member of the Vermont Army National Guard 172nd Armor Division being honorably discharged with the rank of SSGT in 1966. He was employed at Lane Press in Williston for 21 years retiring in 2001.

Andy was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Diane (Mitchell) Andrews of East Fairfield; 2 sons, Michael Andrews and his wife Renee`, and Peter Andrews; 2 daughters, Virginia Ferris, and Kim Andrews all of East Fairfield; his grandchildren, Samantha, Whitney & Jordan Andrews, Jason Ferris, Heather & Cayla Andrews; 1 great grandson, Anthony Andrews; 2 brothers, Donald Andrews of Proctor, and Paul Andrews of Moretown; 2 sisters and their husbands, Marilyn & David Farr of Middlebury, and Nancy & James Sarven of Milton; his brothers-in-law & sister-in-law, Howard Mitchell and his wife Joyce of East Fairfield, Veronica Parent and her husband Robert of Enosburg Falls, and Wayne Mitchell and his wife Carolyn of East Fairfield; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday morning December 18, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in East Fairfield. Interment will follow in Sanderson Corners Cemetery in Fairfax.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
