Mary Aguiar Obituary

1910 - 2004
Mary Constance Aguiar, 93, of Canterbury Woods, Garfield Avenue, Attleboro, a retired jewelry worker and housekeeper, died Friday, April 16, 2004 at the LifeCare Center of Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Cabral Aguiar, Sr.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on April 25, 1910, Mrs. Aguiar was a daughter of the late Evaristo and Lena (Sousa) Aveiro.

She was educated in Attleboro schools.

Mrs. Aguiar was a bench worker for eighteen years at the former Ripley and Gowen Company in Attleboro and later was a housekeeper at the former L.G.Balfour Company in Attleboro for sixteen years, retiring at the age of seventy-three.

Mrs. Aguiar was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Attleboro and resided in Attleboro most of her life.

She is survived by a daughter: Suzana C. Doucette of Attleboro; two sons: Henry C. Aguiar of Attleboro and Vincent C. Aguiar, Jr. of Pawtucket; a sister: Eliza Cordeiro of Attleboro; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Aguiar was the sister of the late Manuel Aveiro, Alfred Aveiro, Joseph Aveiro and Lena Viera.

A funeral will be held on Monday, April 19, 2004 at 9:00 AM from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Holy Ghost Church, 71 Linden Street, Attleboro.

Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, South Main Street, Attleboro.

Visiting hours will be held in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home on Sunday, April 18th from 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM.
