Adolph Owens Brown, 60, of Newton, Kansas, formerly of Colvis, New Mexico, who served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1962, a conductor with BNSF Railroad since 1977, died at Newton Medical Center on Saturday, December 30, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 4, 2001, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton. Services are scheduled for Friday, January 5, 11 a.m., at Second Baptist Church, 201 East 3rd Street, Newton, officiated by Dr. Leonard F. Gray. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations are appreciated to Second Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 East Broadway Street, Newton, KS 67114. Arrangements entrusted to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton, Kansas.
