PROSSER Mr. George Edward "Skip" Prosser, 56, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007. He was born November 3, 1950, in Pittsburgh, Pa. to George Edward Prosser Jr. and Laura Jo Goodwin Prosser. Mr. Prosser was a member of St. Leo' s Catholic Church and was the Wake Forest University head basketball coach. Mr. Prosser was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nancy Prosser; his two sons, Scott Prosser of Wheeling, Va. and Mark Prosser of Lewisburg, Pa.; his mother, Laura Jo Prosser; a sister, Cindy Prosser Gross of St. Clairville, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Laurann and Katyn Gross; and a devoted companion, Abbey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Clemmons, with Fr. Brian Cook officiating. Mr. Prosser will lie in state at the church from 2 to 9 p.m. today, July 30. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 4, at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Coaches vs. Cancer, 4-A Oak Branch Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407-2145 or to the Epilepsy Institute of North Carolina, 3726 Vest Mill Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
