Obituary
Joshua Craig Gowan, 27, Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Oslo, MN, passed away from a snowmobile accident on Friday, February 10, 2006. Josh was born on December 9, 1978 in Grand Forks, ND the son of James Lee and Karen (Hoff) Gowan. He was a 1997 graduate of Warren-Alvarado-Oslo High School and attended Moorhead State University. He was united in marriage to Tami Osowski on July 17, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oslo, MN. They made their home in Grand Forks. Josh took pride in his job and was always willing to go the extra mile for the benefit of those he came into contact with. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always willing to share stories of their adventures. Another pride and joy in Josh's life was spending time with his wife, Tami and their godson, Caleb. He also enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, playing pool, and four wheeling. Josh worked on the family farm and especially enjoyed beet harvest. He was previously employed with Kelly Furniture as a salesman, and with Big Al's Limousine. He currently was self employed as an over-the-road semi truck driver and took extreme pride in his Peterbilt truck. He leaves behind and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Tami Gowan of Grand Forks, ND; parents, James Lee and Karen Gowan of Queen Creek, AZ; brother, Jeremy Gowan of Oslo, MN; nephew, Caleb Gowan of Bloomington, MN; Grandparents, James and Margie Gowan of Mesa, AZ; Eugene and Sharon Driscoll of East Grand Forks, MN; Arden Hoff of Oslo, MN; Great Grandparents, Robert Sr. and Henrietta Pape of East Grand Forks, MN; Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Cheri Osowski of Oslo, MN; and two sisters-in-law, Holly Osowski of East Grand Forks, MN, and Ashley Osowski of Oslo, MN, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his uncle, Craig Hoff, and a godson, Devin Duckstad. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oslo, MN. Visitation: After 5:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oslo and one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
