Please note the difference between a paid death notice and an obituary. A death notice is handled by advertising, is guaranteed to appear and there is a charge. An obituary is done by our editorial staff, is NOT guaranteed, and there is no charge.

The deadline for death notices is 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday for publication the following day. For the first Sunday edition, the deadline is 5:00 P.M. Friday. For the second and final Sunday edition, the deadline is 4:30 P.M. Saturday. Deadline for Monday publication is 4:30 P.M. Sunday. We must be able to verify the death. Death Notices are usually placed by the funeral director. Prepayment is required.
