STOKESDALE Mr. Timothy "Tim" Ryan Jenkins, Sr., went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Wesley Long Hospital.
A memorial service for Mr. Jenkins will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, at Forbis & Dick Brooke Chapel with Rev. Danny Chatman officiating.
A El Dorado, Arkansas native, Mr. Jenkins was born on October 21, 1949, the son of George Jenkins and Lois Hoffman Brewer. Tim graduated from Reynolds High School in Winston Salem, enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing with the dogs and living life to fullest and an avid Carolina Panthers fan. He worked for Food Express for eight years.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn Devaney Jenkins of the home; mother, Lois Brewer of Stokesdale; son, Timothy Ryan Jenkins, Jr., and wife; Kendra of Asheboro; step son, Lee Davis of Newton and step daughter, Lisa Snyder and husband, Kevin of Stoneville; grandson, Eric Ray Jenkins; step grandson, Preston Snyder; step granddaughter, Kasey Snyder; brother, James Jenkins of Virginia; half sister, Naomi Gerald of Lexington; half brother, George Jenkins, Jr. of Arkansas.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service and other times at his home.
