WALL, Frederick Scott "Chip," suddenly entered eternal rest early in the morning on Saturday, June 13, 2009. A Chicago, Illinois native, Chip was born on October 27, 1962 and moved to Virginia during the 1980s where he met and married Carol Blick Wall. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick P. Wall, also of Chicago. Chip was the grandson of V. Y. Scott (founder of V. Y. Scott Funeral Home) and Josiah T. Wall of Chicago (founder of Opal Hair Care). Left to mourn his loss in addition to his wife is Chip's mother, 'Etta S. W. Whitehurst; sister, Irene W. L. Bland and brother-in-law, Frank Bland; brother, F. Peter Wall of San Diego, Calif.; and nephew who adored him fiercely, Michael C. Bland. Stepsons, Randy DeCastro and Ryan Blick were also fond of Chip's presence in their lives. Over the past year, Chip worked diligently at Mid-Eastern Buildings of Richmond and had recently committed his life to Christ, though he had always reached out to others in fun-loving kindness. Dear friends who enjoyed life with him included too many to list. He was known to love people and animals and had planned to enroll in a veterinary science program. Cousins, all family and friends who miss Chip overwhelmingly will celebrate his life on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the V. Y. Scott Funeral Home on Route 360 East in Amelia, Va. Contributions can be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in the name of Frederick Scott Wall. Professional services entrusted to the V. Y. Scott Funeral Home, Amelia, Va. Rev. Paul Wilson, Proprietor; 804-561-2022.
