Jacquelyn Shoukas Obituary

Jacquelyn Romeo Shoukas, devoted wife of Andrew Shoukas for 22 years, and dearly loved sister and aunt, departed this world suddenly on Sunday, July 12, 2009. Born Feb. 8, 1967 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the beloved daughter of Joseph Romeo and Jane Adamo. She attended Manalapan High School and Georgian Court University. She found her greatest pleasures in life through the raising of her three beautiful children, and being the best aunt possible to her eight nieces and nephews. Jacquelyn loved spending time in her garden and conversing with friends, family and neighbors.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her loyal and dedicated husband, Andrew; her three children, Nicholas Andrew Shoukas, Gregory James Shoukas, and Anthony Ryan Shoukas; as well as by her parents, Joseph Romeo and Jane Adamo. She will remain in the hearts and minds of her brother, Joseph Christopher Romeo, and his wife and her best friend, Patricia Romeo, aswell as by her sisters, Debbie Romeo and her husband Eric Navins, Ganeane Romeo-Cox and her husband Michael Cox, Tressa Leigh Romeo, Tiffany Jean Romeo-Peragine and her husband John Peragine, and Janie Marion Adamo. She is also survived by Jerry Shoukas, Shiela Coughlin, Matt and James Shoukas; her cherished nieces and nephews, Tristan Leigh Hopkins, Gianna Rose Navins, Maya Bella Navins, little Joe Romeo, "May-May" Romeo, Sarah "Bean" Cox and Jacky Cox; her stepfather, Joey Adamo and her stepmother, Pesia Romeo; her stepsisters and stepbrothers; a host of aunts and uncles; and other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Mass was held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Tappahannock, with Father John O'Donahue officiating. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the tremendous expressions of kindness and generosity during their bereavement. May God bless and keep you all.
