I just found out about Greg's death while reading about the upcoming high school picnic on classmates.com. Greg and I went to school together but became better friends after high school. He helped inprove my tennis game and was a very good teacher. He was always kind and sincere. We lost track of eachother when I moved from Arizona to Maryland but I always considered him a real friend. I am so sorry to learn that I won't see this kind man again. You are remembered Greg.

I can't express the sadness I feel to learn of Greg's passing. We worked together at NASA Plumbrook for quite a while. He always put the guys first, had a kind word, and was diligent with his IH duties. He will be missed. God Bless his family and my deepest sympathies to them.

Greg,
A very special person in our lives. A smile and a laugh that could penetrate a soul from the inside out. Greg and I worked together and were instant friends for the last three years. Short story; Last summer, Greg and one of my other friends, Jess, went camping in the Cascades. It was such a memorable trip in so many ways. Because of the fire danger in the Cascades, camp fires were prohibited. Greg, knowing that this was my verision of a bachelor party and how important it was to have my two good friends there, bought 14 large candles and laid them in a circle to simulate a campfire. To Greg, it was important to enjoy the full flavor of all experiences and he always put other people before himself. What a great weekend! In the three years Greg and I knew each other, I have never developed so many images, events and stories with a friend. Greg's passing has left both my wife and I with such an indescribable emptiness. To Greg's family, our prayers are with you. For everyone else, in so many ways Greg is the model that we should all live our lives by. Selfless, caring and living life with vigor and anticipation. Greg is deeply missed!

Words cant express how much I will miss Greg. Greg was my cousin. We grew up together. I was closer with Greg than I have ever been with anyone. Starting when we were little we hung out together at family gatherings. As we grew older we always stayed close.
Greg was a very special person. I feel like one of the luckiest people in the world to have ever had him be a part of my life.
Anyone who knew Greg knows that he loved his family and friends and made sure to stay in touch no matter what. He had a way of accepting people for exactly who they were and was always positive. Greg saw good in everyone. He was there for me and my children no matter what. He never forgot to call. Greg was just a wonderfull, good natured, kind and caring person. My children thought the world of him and would always be waiting in line to speak to him on the phone after he moved away.
I always knew that the next time we would talk I would be laughing at some joke, and I knew that the next time we would get together we would have fun.
It is hard to imagine life without him.
May God bless and guide us in this time.

There are times in this life that mere words cannot express what we think or feel. This is one of those times. Greg's smiling face and kindness will never be forgotten. May God wrap his arms of comfort around you and give you His peace. And remember, we know that we will see Greg again.

To all of Greg's family and friends,

I was very priviledge to work with Greg as part of the Safety Organization. He is a man of great character, caring of others, and good spirit. He took his IH work seriously and did his job here at Hanford very well. He had great mutual respect amonsts his peers and the folks that depended on Greg to keep them from harms way each and everyday. That was very important to him.

Two things we always heard from Greg, his family and friends back home and those darn Buckeyes of OSU. He was very proud of both.

Greg has been greatly missed, but our thoughts and prayers really go out to all of those that knew Greg. To his parents and family, there are no words to alieviate your grief from such a loss, but know that Greg had a family of friends here too. God bless each and everyone of you and may He keep you close, because Greg is not far away.

To Greg's family,

I worked with Greg in Washington State. He was a man of integrity and upheld a challenging position. If he were my son, I'd have been proud of his work ethic and performance.

Know that he is missed, and people still ask about him and what may have happened. Such a sudden loss. I still expect him to pop around the corner, or give his little giggle/laugh about something.

I know that in December he was lamenting that he was not able to have time to visit all of his relatives in Ohio. Then, when looking forward to his parent's visit to Washington State he would get so excited, like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. Know that you were loved and missed while he was here.

May God grant you peace in this time of loss.

Ruth, John and Cindy:
Many prayers have been said and tears have been shed at the loss of our nephew Greg. It is so hard to understand why God chose to take him home at this time. We will always remember his wonderful sense of humor, his great smile and his laugh. His love for family was always evident, no matter where he was, he would always make an effort to keep in contact with his family and friends. For those who were fortunate to see him in December, be thankful. I know his Grandmother and Grandfather in Marion are truly grateful. We loved him and will miss him. May God give you comfort one day at a time - and know you will see him again someday. God Bless Ron and Kathy Griffith, Russells Point Ohio

Greg and I met during my freshman year at U of A. We always referred to each other as "trouble". We would usually talk about once or twice a month after each of us had moved away. It was always one of those evening phone calls since I moved to St. Louis and he was in Washington and at 10pm I knew he was one of the people I could call and he would still be up. It was always nice to talk to him because he always was in a good mood. I would hear about work and the different places he would visit. He really enjoyed living in Washington.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and know that Greg is in a wonderful place now.

Greg is a great big brother.

He loved the outdoors, music, traveling, tennis, and his friends and family. It is not so hard to see why he kept his place in Washington, everywhere you look there was mountains, lakes, rivers, and more. He had always wanted to travel the west and see different places; among them
the Grand Canyon, and thankfully he made it.

My brother had always encouraged me to be myself, enjoy my girls, and mostly to respect and be greatful for them, my husband, and myself. He had a tremendous love for children and family. He was always helping people with kids. Ironically, he was in turn the only person our girls would speak to on the phone for a long time. Uncle Greg will be tremendously missed by Kaeli, Chloe, Roger and I.
Kaeli would like to say "we'll always be part of your family and we love you" and believes he is with all of us "making sure we are okay like an angel."

On Mother's Day this year, Greg called me and he told me he was at work on overtime. He told me he wanted to make sure the people with kids could be at home with them despite he'd already worked a lot of hours. He was very kind and thoughtful person behind his jokes and winks always willing to help others. That is the Greg that I personally won't ever forget as his little sister. He was a gentle and kind person in a tall package. He kept many of his school, work, and special memories including one of our favorite cartoon and shows as kids. Greg's heart was too big for this world and I am sure he is with more loved ones, like our Thelma, Christina, Martha, Agnus, Arline, and many more smiling peacefully with great joy and love.

He will always be missed and remembered. Please feel free to disclose your favorite Greg memories.

My fondest memory of Greg? Calculus class - he had just gotten his wisdom teeth removed and took a wee bit too much pain killer. His giggling began about halfway through class and erupted into complete laughter; I got to help him down to the office, down the stairs, and by the time we got there, we were both in stitches.
Band Camp, Boy Scouts, High School - a thousand great memories to honor one of my best friends with. I'm gonna miss you buddy. But I'm comforted in knowing we'll see each other again someday. My heart and prayers go out to the family.

To Greg's family and friends:

Greg was a nice person and always had a good word to say as well as trying to be humerous, a dear friend as well as one one of my classmates from Ellet. I was shocked to here of this and it is not often you go through life and meet a person you can call a friend.

He was part of our little group of friends from high school that would get together priodically. Even while he was gone he would keep in touch with fun silly stuff by e-mail or phone. He will be missed greatly. Prayers go out to his family and friends. It is so hard to believe he's gone. I will miss Greg and I hope we can all remember him for who he was.

Dear John, Ruth, & Cindy,
It's so hard to understand how God could need him so soon. He was truly a genuine person in every aspect. From Hatton to Ellet, from the shy little Greg I knew so long ago to the witty, bright man he grew into, he was always a great friend. He never let the miles between us fade our friendship. My prayers are with you.

There is a huge hole in our family that can never be filled... we will all miss Greg for so many reasons ~ his smile, his laugh, his wink. What impressed me the most is that he did his own thing ~ followed his own dream and lived his life the way he chose to live it. God bless his soul.
