Candace ``Candy" Egert, of Green, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 30, 2008.
Candy was a life long resident of the Portage Lakes area, born in Akron and graduating from Coventry High School. Her love of family and passion for music will be remembered forever by her family and friends. She devoted herself to the practices of yoga and reiki. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Violet Huey and her sister, Sally Vogler, and is survived by her devoted son, Terry (Kendra); grandchildren, Joshua and Zachary; her beloved cat, Omar; brothers, Al and Tina Huey and Gene and Jeanette Gangle.
An informal service will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road (Route 619). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Portage Lakes Kiwanis, P.O. Box 19186, Akron, Ohio 44319. (SCHERMESSER-GREEN, 330-899-9107)

I just found out about the passing of Candy. Since I haven't seen her for a couple of years I was surprised to find out that God had called her home. She was always a good friend.
