Cindy was a dear person and neighbor for many years. She was the best.I last saw her in 1988. She made her special short ribs for us. I will be in Orlando at the Hilton at Bonnet Creek May 13-17. My daughter Angie will be with me. Hope we can get together. Angie had already said she hoped Jennifer and Julie could come over. By the way, Angie is a grandmother. Let's see, I guess that makes me a great grandmother. I have many wonderful stories about Cindy, the girls and me. I found this obituary by accident while looking for y'll.
Jenn, remember the broken tooth in Ft. Deposit. Joe, remember having to buy a new car while there?

Mama Lander,
You were a mom to Jen and Julie but also to all of their friends. You were a spectacular woman who was so kind and giving and made the very best chocolate chip cookies ever! You will be missed so much. I pray for your family to cope and try to heal through this difficult time.
God Bless,

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Cynthia. May you find comfort in knowing she is with God.
Cynthia was very special to me during our time together at Bishop Moore High School because she was always so cheerful, and considerate. Vivid memories remain of Cynthia laughing and smiling while enjoying dancing at the Winter Park Youth Center.
Even though I lost contact with Cynthia after high school I have never forgotten her and still today think of her often. I am grateful for having known her.

Dear Joe, Jennifer, and Julie,
I can't find the words to adequately explain to you the sadness I feel to lose such a kind, compassionate, and loving friend as Cynthia. For over thirty years she has brightened my life with her sweet voice and gentle spirit. We have shared so many wonderful times together. She, more than any of my friends, genuinely cared for and understood Charlie and always made him feel so special. They had such a sweet bond. I can only look forward to seeing her again soon in heaven. I know that as wonderful as heaven is - it is a little sweeter place today, since she is there waiting for us to join her. I hope that God will cover you all with his infinite love and help you through this grieving time and know that we shall all be better people for knowing this wonderful person with such a big heart.

Joe, Jen, Julie, Nina and family:
I am so sorry to hear about Cindy. I first met Cindy as a co-worker but quickly became a friend. We shared a lot of laughter, tears and good stories about our families together. We worked hard and played hard. You always knew with Cindy her family was first in her life, she was so proud of all of you.. Friendship like hers is hard to find. I will cherish our friendship always, Take care of yourselves and each other, Cindy would expect that.
Thoughts and prayers are with you,
Lesley

My heart was broken in hearing the news of Cynthia's passing. But then I started remembering all the wonderful times we shared, and my sadness gave way to comfort of many wonderful memories over the years.
Cynthia was a unique and very special person. She was my friend and my sister. She was there during the birth of my daughter Amy, and again after the death of my Mother this year. In between we shared some wonderful times in Oviedo with our frequent family gatherings by the pool, and our fun-filled annual Christmas party, which became a Lander family tradition. Even though we had been out of touch due to circumstances of life, our loving bond remained through the miles and time that separated us.
I was so fortunate to spend some brief time with Cynthia on my recent trip to Orlando earlier this year. I saw how Julie and Jennifer had blossomed into beautiful young women and how Cynthia had influenced them in their sweet and tender parenting of their own children. Of all her claims to fame, Cynthia was the epitome of Motherhood. Her daughters are a testament to that!
Joe, Jennifer and Julie- I can only imagine how difficult this time must be for you and your families. Be strong. May you find comfort in knowing there are a legion of people who are grateful for the impact your wife/mother made on the world, just by being in it.
May her beautiful soul rest in peace...
Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

We are shocked and greatly saddened by the news of Cynthia's passing. Cynthia, a fellow Winter Parker, was a close friend and classmate at Bishop Moore High School. Her infectious and engaging smile was sunshine even on the darkest days. We consider ourselves lucky to have known her and will miss her greatly. We extend our sincerest sympathies to her family.

Dear family,
We are so sorry to hear of Cindy's passing. All through her life she was a woman of grace, kindness, and joy. I remember my cousin as a young woman who always took time to pay attention to her younger cousin - to listen to what I had to say, to let me follow her around, to play with me when my family would come to visit hers. Two events really stand out in my memory. One is the year we took our annual visit with the Runyons to New Symrna Beach and I cut my foot badly. Because of that I was not allowed to go on the beach. I was about 4 or 5and Cindy was 10 or 11. She stayed in the motel room with me while everyone else went to the beach. We colored in her coloring books - she shared with me. She was so nice to me! She had such a tender heart. The second memory is the year I came to visit the Runyons with my Aunt Josephine and my cousin Debbie. Debbie and I were about 12 or 13 at the time. Cindy was 18 or 19. She took us with her in the car to run lots of errands. We felt so grown-up being with our grown-up cousin. We thought we were so "cool" riding around in a car with an older teenager. She treated us like friends instead of like the obnoxious brats we were at that time. I know you will all miss her terribly. Our prayers are with you!
