It´s hard to believe it´s been almost 18 years.
I just want you to know that I´ll always cherish the time we spent together and the memories we made.

I heard about this story...and i was like WOW. This is terrible that this teenage girl could be alive and possibly anxious for this surgery...and then suddenly up in heaven among the angels. If it was my daughter or close friend, i dont know what i would do. That is why, although i dont know you, i hope you are okay:) Try to get through everything. All the pain and suffering you may still be going through. I cried and i dont even know her. I have no idea how you feel, but i give my greatest sympathy.
Bless your hearts.<3

I needed to do a educational study for work on malignant hyperthermia; I truly am sorry for the loss of your daughter; reading about your daughter will help many people in health care to note this possible occurance and propper treatment. I truly believe God is the originator of all comfort and he does comfort the broken hearted; I can't even imagine the loss of one of my children; know that the people I have been blessed to work for and with truly do care for the patients and families; no person besides a health care worker really understands the enormity of when something going wrong; or the loss of a life. May you find some comfort that her life will go on in helping people be aware of this condition and it's treatment. I am praying for you to feel her presence and that you would know that she is ok; please accept my sincere sympathy and the expression of gratitude for sharing Stephanie's story. In his love and mine. Karen A. Finegan RN,CCRN,CEN

Dear Kuleba Family
My heart is broken for your loss
No words of wisdom come to mind
All "advice" must seem so trival
To those who are left behind
Of course all of us "mean well"
With each kind word and thought
But not many of us can understand
The grief in which you're caught
So I will just keeping hoping
That soon you'll find a way
To move forward in your lives
And that the pain will slip away
You each deserve a future
Of moments filled with peace
And may the grace of God
Soon put your hearts at ease.

Hello,
Your pain and suffering is beyond rational thinking. Losing a child is something that can never be understood. As a family who adored this child of God, know that she is now with him as an angel and she is always with you, ALWAYS! I pray that in time your crying will subside and you will smile knowing she will never ever be forgotten and will always be loved and cherished.

I offer my deepest sympathies to Stephannie's family for their sad loss. Stephannie was a very beautiful young woman with her life ahead of her which makes this all the more tragic for her friends and family. God has chosen another beautiful soul to help him build the next world. I hope I meet this beautiful young angel and all those other young souls tragically called before their time in Heaven. RIP sweet angel. XX

Dear Kuleba family,
We lost our 17 year-old son almost a year ago -- on April 24, 2007 -- very tragically and unexpected. We kept it out of the news, so you probably were never aware of it. It was the most devastating experience we have ever gone through, and continue to go through.
I know how you feel...I can only tell you that I am so very sorry for your loss, and that I will keep your family in my prayers. I pray you will find strength in God and in your family and friends around you.

My deepest sympathy to the parents of Stephanie Kuleba and brother Chris as I am from Michigan to share your grief and loss....I was reading the Palm Beach Post newspaper on computer about Stephanie's death after surgery.....I feel saddened for such a great loss of your loved one...she was such a young and beautiful girl....even a happy cheerleader for her high school.....she was about graduating with her senior class soon....Please remember happy sunshine memories or good times you had with Stephanie in your heart....Just let you know that I am hearing impaired and speaking in sign language as well as a Palm Beach County native for more than 35 years....you are in my very heartful thoughts and prayers....May the Lord our God comfort you during the time of mourning and strengthen your faith in God. Just thank God for giving you Stephanie's life as your special child on earth....Jesus Christ loves you so much.

This is very tragic and a horrible way to pass on but I must remind those who loved Steph that she is in a better place now. She is truly smiling down upon everyone.
I didn't know Steph but I am deeply saddened by all of this and totally in tears.
Here is a poem for you Steph and everyone that loved her:
Little angel, sent from God
To a desperate mother in need,
You touched the hearts of those you loved,
With every word and deed.
The pain you suffered and endured,
Would have conquered a weaker soul
Your willful, stubborn, hope-filled heart
Placed you in a stronger role
Eighteen precious years
You nurtured love in a woman void
You gave her love, and life and hope
And kept her spirits buoyed.
Now in heaven, Stephanie, please,
Keep watch o'er your dearest mother
And always remember, won't you please
You were loved like no other.
The tears keep rolling down my face for a young lady I never knew.. ;0(

I am simply another person who has never had the opportunity to meet your angel, Stephanie, but I wish I would have. Sometimes God takes the people who have already completed His work he had for them; it seems she had done this in her very short, but fully lived life. From the photos I've seen she seems to have lived a very happy 18 years and she is probably in Heaven thinking that she wouldn't have had it any other way. She is where everyone longs to be, in the presence of God, and she was so blessed to have it given to her early. Unfortunately her friends and family are left on earth feeling the pain of the passing, but this too shall pass. While life will never be the same without this Angel, it is a learning lesson that can save other's lives (I had never heard of this disease), and now you have another Angel on your shoulders guiding you. May God bless and take care of each and every one of Stephanie's friends and family members, and may you always remember her smile and contagious happiness.

This poem was read at my brothers funeral and for a few minutes, I felt better. I'm hoping that maybe this will help you as well:
When I come to the end of my journey and I travel my last weary mile, just forget if you can, that I ever frowned and only remember the smile. Forget unkind words I have spoken, remember the good I have done. Forget that I ever had heartache and remember I've had LOADS of fun. Forget that I stumbled and blundered and sometimes fell by the way. Remember I fought some hard battles and won, ere the close of the day. Then forget to grieve for my going, I WOULD NOT HAVE YOU SAD FOR A DAY, but in summer, gather some flowers and remember the place where I lay, and come in the shade of the evening when the sun paints the sky in the west. Stand for a few moments beside me and remember only my best.
I did not know your daughter, but I am a mother myself. I can not even begin to imagine what you are going through right now. I do know that God has a plan for everyone and hopefully you can find some comfort in that. My family and I will be praying for you during this time. May God bless you and keep you close during this time of need.
