Age 77, of Green Tree, formerly of Sharpsburg on Monday March 5, 2007. Husband of the late Sarah (Heasley); beloved father of Lawrence C., Joseph A. III, Daniel T., Cynthia L. and Diane S. Ulrich; grandfather of Audrey Cook, Aleah M., Ashley S., and Brian A. Ulrich; great-grandfather of Peyton and Taylor Cook. Friends received THURSDAY 2pm-9pm at WORRELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., Corner of Main and 9th Streets Sharpsburg. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10am in St. Joseph Church, O'Hara Twp.

It is with sincere sympathy that I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Joseph. Though I met the man in his declining years and never truly got to know the warm, vital strength and giving nature of this man, he is spoke of in glowing terms by Diane and Ashley. Is this not the true measure of a man's life? To be thought of highly by the people who knew him best and an example to be held up against the bad behaviors of this world. The sun may never shine as brightly as it did when he lived but be comforted by the knowledge that he joins his wife, Sarah, and they can now continue their wedded bliss together...forever. May God Bless you all while he cradles Joseph close to Him.
