Mary P. Morrison

GLENS FALLS Mary P. Morrison, of South Street, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the Glens Falls Hospital. Born in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Alice (Donohue) Preston. Mary was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy of Glens Falls. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary's Church and on Feb. 19, 1950, she married James S. Morrison. She worked for Imperial Color of Queensbury and enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Karen P. Morrison, her brother, William Preston, his wife, Ann and their son, David Preston and her brother-in-law, Raymond Sanborn. Survivors besides her husband of 58 years include her two sons; Harold W. Morrison and his wife, Joy, and James P. Morrison and his wife, Carol, all of Glens Falls; her sister, Alice Sanborn of Chandler, Ariz. her grandsons, Kristopher P. Morrison of Glens Falls, James Stanley Morrison and his wife, Emily, of Columbia, Md. and their sons, Colin and Tylor; and granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Reynolds and her husband, Paul, of Westley Chapel, Fla.; her step-grandchildren, Jessica Mattison, Robert Westlake, Anthony Vaughn and Cody Vaughn; her step-great-granddaughter, Kayla Mattison; her and several nieces and nephews. At Mary's request there will be no calling hours. The Rite of Committal will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at St. Mary's Cemetery followed by a Memorial Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 62 Warren St., Glens Falls.
