Tracy Christon Obituary

SOUTH GLENS FALLS Tracy Christon, 56, of South Glens Falls passed away, Saturday, March 29, 2008, at home surrounded by her family after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. Tracy was born on Aug. 7, 1951, in Claverack, N.Y., the daughter of the late Harold and Philomena (Palladucci) Nuendel. She was a graduate of Hudson High School. She then attended nursing school at Kings County School of Nursing in Brooklyn where she met her husband of 35 years, Michael Christon Jr. They moved to South Glens Falls in 1973. Tracy worked at Saratoga Hospital for 25 years. First in the ICCU, later becoming the manager of that department. She then transferred to the ER where she worked until her retirement. Tracy enjoyed camping, boating, crocheting, knitting and cooking, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in South Glens Falls. She touched the lives of many people and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Survivors besides her husband Michael Christon Jr. of South Glens Falls, include her daughter, Darcy Christon and her fiancé James Stockwell; her son, Michael Christon III and his wife, Rochelle; three grandchildren Carter Thew, Lexis Christon and Zachary Stockwell, all of South Glens Falls. Also surviving Tracy are her best friends, Peter and Julie Sheeran of South Glens Falls; her in-laws, Michael and Florence Christon of Howard Beach, N.Y.; two brothers, Gary Nuendel and his partner, Edgar Oliver of New York City, and Donald Nuendel and his wife, Bonnie, of Cape Cod; two nephews, Thomas and Andrew Nuendel; and her niece, Amanda Faulkner and her husband, Bill. Services and burial will be private for the family. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the Regan and Denny Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury. Michael,
Aaron and I sat with you and Tracy on Valentine's night as we all awaited being seated. Your wife sure knew how to make everyone smile. Your granddaughter Lexi takes dance with our daughter. Our prayers go out to Lexi, you and your family. All of us at Ginger Benack's Studio of Dance sure will miss Tracy's smiling face and our laughs and good times together.

May our friendship last forever;
May I sail upon your sea.
May we go through life together;
May there always be a "we."
May I be your endless sky;
May you breathe my gentle air.
May you never wonder why
When you look for me, I'm there.

May we be for each a smile
Like the warm, life-giving sun;
Yet when we're in pain awhile,
May our suffering be one.

May we share our special days,
The happiness of one for two;
And if we must go separate ways,
Let my love remain with you.

You will forever remain in my heart and soul, my best friend.

Michael, my thoughts will be with you and your family, Julie and Pete, and all those you hold dear as we remember Tracy. Though the greif may seem unsurmountable, remembering Tracy's life and the wonderful things about her will help us embrace her for all of our days without her.

Mike, Mike and Darcy,
We are at such a loss of words. We are so very sorry about Tracy.

It has been so many years since we all have gotten together to play cards or just visit, we always say yep we'll give you a call and we lose track of time and don't call, not because we don't want to it's because our lives are all so busy we never take the time to spend with our friends.
Mike, We have always loved you and Tracy and the kids. We think of you as family. Many of Jessica's memories of her childhood are being at your house playing with Mike and Darcy.

We hold you so deep in our hearts and our prayers at this time.
Through this we have learned not to lose touch with our friends, for you never know what tomorrow will bring.

We love you all so much.
Rod, Judy and Jessica
