Mildred Burritt Obituary

Saratoga Springs Mildred "Millie" Burritt passed away peacefully Monday, July 7, 2008 at Saratoga Hospital. She was 84. Born Sept. 11, 1923, in Corinth, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Fred and Pearl Milligan. Millie has resided at Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa for the past 16 years and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, Millie is predeceased by her first husband, Steven Pagach, and her second husband, Nelson Burritt; a son, James Pagach; a brother, Douglas Milligan and a sister, Eleanor Grahame. Survivors include her son, Steven Pagach of Alexandria, Va.; her daughter, Diana Woodcock (Donald) of Greenfield Center; one brother, Donald Milligan (Shirley) of North Hudson; four sisters: June Festa of Florida, Lucille DeZalia (Hoarce) and Virginia Kugler, all of North Hudson, Rita DeZalia (Donald) of Severance; one granddaughter, Carla Alvord (Michael) of Greenfield Center; three grandsons: Keith Lawrence (Ann) of Erie, Pa., Steven Pagach and Martin Pagach (Correna) of Alexandria,Va. Millie is also survived by eight great-grandchildren: Ashley, Christian and Victoria Alvord of Greenfield Center and "Jimmy," Alec, Kasi, Logan and Alyssa Pagach of Alexandria, Va., and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2008, at the family plot in Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave. The Rev. James Jaekel will officiate. Memorials may be made in Millie's name to Maplewood Manor Residents Fund, 149 Ballston Ave., Ballston Spa, NY 12020. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373).
