To Ro, Paul, John, Kathy & Jainie:
' Diana & I offer you all our deepest heartfelt sympathies. Your mother was as close to me in my youth as was even my own mother. She is free now of all her earthly maladies & all those who passed before her will be like her forever young. She will again be free to gather pussy willows for the next 1st day of spring dinner.
All our thoughts & well wishes go to all the family.

At work today someone asked me what Mema was like. After mentioning the obvious like her love of family, humor, scrabble, coffee, baking and crosswords, I said now add a woman who lived the Beatitudes and you've got Mema. My life is richer for having known and loved her. I treasure the moments and memories I shared with this gentle soul. When I heard the news I imagined her entering the pearly gates and yelling "POOOOPIE" ....and I know he was right there to joyfully welcome her. Sweet dreams, dear Memer!!
