Lois Mary Bannin

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. Lois Mary Bannin, 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Wellington Regional Medical Center, after a courageous battle with several medical conditions. She is now with her savior in heaven. Lois was born on Aug. 3, 1929, to Leslie Farr and Vivian Lamore Farr in Glens Falls, N.Y. Lois met her husband, Bob, shortly after his return from World War II. They were married at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Schenectady, N.Y., and moved to West Palm Beach, Fla. in 1956. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, William "Bob" Thomas; daughter, Sheila M. Brodbeck and her husband, Gregory; sons, William Thomas Jr. and Christopher J. and his wife, Belinda; grandchildren: Tiffany (Corbett), Heather (Stone), Mary Brodbeck, William Arrowsmith, and Tina Bannin and Lyanna Bannin; daughter-in-law, Sandy Arrowsmith; four great-grandchildren: Eric Michael (Stone), Sean Patrick (Stone), Kevin Michael (Stone) and Megan Elizabeth (Stone); and a host of sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Donald Farr. A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, Lois enjoyed raising her children, visiting family, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed decorating, cooking, crossword puzzles, walking, knitting, and laughing with friends and family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening, July 24, 2008, at Palms West Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m, with a wake service beginning at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 25, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church in Wellington, Fla.
