Karl Warnow Obituary

SARATOGA SPRINGS Karl E. Warnow Jr., 68, of Catherine Street, died Saturday, July 12, at Saratoga Hospital, following a long illness. Born on Sept. 10, 1939, in Cortland, N.Y., he was the son of Karl E. Warnow Sr. and Ruth Naomi Warnow. Karl was a graduate of Cortland High School and Adirondack Community College in Queensbury, N.Y. On June 24, 1960, he married Lucy A. Allen. They moved to Saratoga Springs in 1966. Karl was a member of the Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He retired from the General Electric Co. in Schenectady, N.Y. where he worked as a machinist for 25 years. Besides his wife, Lucy, he was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Armstrong. He is survived by a son, Karl W. Warnow and his wife, Josina, of Saratoga Springs; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Warnow; a sister, Karla Gleason and several nieces and nephews. There are no services or calling hours scheduled. Arrangements are by Simone Funeral Home, Inc., 105 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs.
