To My Aunt Joanne,
I am sorry that we did not get to know each other as adults better than we did. And I am so very sorry that my children and my boyfriend never got to meet you. Time has a way of slipping by ever so quickly and quietly and I never got a chance to tell you how very much we love you. I hope that you have accomplished everything that you wanted in life and that you enjoyed every second of it. I want you to know that I have thought about you a lot over these last few years and all of the trials that were thrown your way. And I hope that when the time comes, I have the strength and courage to push forward as you did. I want to thank you for always being kind & caring. As we get older and get married or have children, and life seems to bridge us from the ones that we love, I have learned that it does not mean that you do not love them or that they do not love you. Life and time manage to separate us all, as we have to take care of what is right in front of us, and we say I'll make that call later or I'll send that letter tomorrow, but sometimes it doesn't happen that way. I have also learned that there is a time and place for everything, and that we all have to do right by ourselves and for ourselves before we can do so for others. I feel as though I will be all the wiser in my journey's for these lessons. I know that you are no longer suffering or in pain, and that you are in a better place. I also know that you are ONE OF and have quite a few BEAUTIFUL ANGELS to guide you. Know that you are loved and will forever be missed by us all. So, put those brand new wings to good use and always know how much you are LOVED AND MISSED, NOW AND ALWAYS!!!!

MY deepest sympathies to all of you. Joanne was one of the most courageous people I know. Even though she was in such turmoil herself, I never once saw her when she wasn't asking how I was or how my family was doing. I will miss her greatly. May she rest in peace with all of our angels.
