The world has lost a wonderful man. He was my best friend's high school sweetheart and lifetime partner until her early passing in '93. Dave was such a loving, funny, smart friend. My condolences to his family and friends.

Re: Our previous entry - Sorry for the error. It should have read "The Night Before Christmas", not the "Christmas Carol" that Dave always read on Christmas Eve.

Dave will be missed by many. In time, the many happy memories of Dave will ease the sadness everyone feels now.

Dave loved the holidays; especially Christmas. No doubt his tradition of reading the "Christmas Carol" to his children and grandchildren on Christmas Eve will continue in his honor for generations to come.

One of our family's fondest memories of Dave is riding with him and his family on his boat on Cayuga and Waneta Lakes. A great time was had by all!

Of course we'll never forget the Clam party, complete with a rented bouncy room for the kids in attendance, that he and Ginni had in S. Glens Falls shortly after they were married. That was the day that Dave was playing football and broke his finger. His wedding ring had to be cut off much to his dismay.

We'll always remember him as a fun-loving man who loved his family. He was a wonderful and proud Father and Grandfather.

Peace to all... With Love,
The O'Connell Family

We also want to let you know that you can always count on us, if you ever need anyone to lean on or talk to, regardless of what time of day it is. Although we have only met your brother a couple of times, David seemed like a very nice man and a loving person. We wish you and your family well in this sad time of your life. Just think of all of the good times that you shared with him. May God bless you all.

Love,
