Mary Hadfield Obituary

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. Mary Lee Dickinson (Arpey) Hadfield, 63, of Bonita Springs, Fla., formerly of Saratoga and South Glens Falls, N.Y., died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, unexpectedly at her home. She was born Dec. 29, 1943, in Glens Falls, to Myron J. and Angela (Aurilio) Dickinson. Mary Lee was an active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post 303, Bonita Springs, where she was two time past-president. She also loved her dogs, Pumpkin and Lizzy-beth, and her cats, Mikey and Rags. Survivors include her loving husband of 20 years, William S. Hadfield of Bonita Springs, Fla.; her mother, Angela Dickinson of South Glens Falls; a daughter, Jodi (Fred) Dake of South Glens Falls; three sons: Michael (Melissa) Arpey of Porter Corners, V. James (Cheryl) Arpey of Underhill, Vt., and Stephen (Lori) Arpey of Scotia; two brothers, Stephen (Sandra) Dickinson of South Glens Falls and Peter (Teresa) Dickinson of Glens Falls; grandchildren: Hayley, Mollie, Jaymeson, Jack, Alicia, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Rebecca, and Emily Arpey, and Kryssa, Kaylie-Rae and Michael Dake. Also surviving are three stepchildren, many stepgrandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Myron J. Dickinson, and two brothers, Michael and James Dickinson. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at St. Michaels Church, Saratoga Avenue, South Glens Falls. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her memory to the American Heart Association, Heart Gift Department, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220 or St. Michaels Church, 80 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
