Marion Burton Elverson

HUDSON FALLS Marion Burton Elverson, 82, formerly of Hudson Falls and Schroon Lake, passed into the hands of our Lord on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at Heritage Commons in Ticonderoga, following a long illness. Born on Jan. 18, 1925, in Sharon Hill, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Leonard E. Elverson and Julia (Parcells) Elverson Bullion. Marion worked in her mother's nursing homes in Media, Pa., and Schuylerville for many years. Following her mothers death, she lived with her sister in Hudson Falls for 13 years, before moving to Schroon Lake with her sister and niece. For the last few years, Marion has resided at the Heritage Commons in Ticonderoga. Before moving to Schroon Lake, Marion attended the Greater Glens Falls Bible Baptist Church in Hudson Falls. While at Heritage Commons, Marion enjoyed participating in all the planned activities. She especially enjoyed her television programs and visiting with her friends and the staff at Heritage Commons. Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by three siblings, Mae E. Buck, Eva P. Goebel and William F. Elverson. Survivors include one sister, Constance Mansell of Heritage Commons; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St. in Hudson Falls. A graveside service will follow at Southside Cemetery in the town of Moreau, with the Rev. Guy Goodell, pastor of the Greater Glens Falls Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
