Donald Flynn Obituary

SOUTH GLENS FALLS Donald Flynn, 79, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at The Orchard Health Care Facility in Granville. Don was born on Aug. 2, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Michael and Edith (Hoffman) Flynn. Don retired from Scott Paper and Glens Falls Hospital as an ER tech. Don and his wife, Gladys Patten, were married for 58 years; they were married in the Fort Ann Baptist Church. Don will be missed by all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the loves of his life. Don was known for his cars and also his love of flying. He was a charter member of the Moreau Emergency Squad, where he volunteered for many years. Survivors include his wife, Gladys (Patten) Flynn of South Glens Falls; three daughters: Gayle Flynn LaSarso and her husband, Richard, of Gansevoort, Janice Flynn Knobel and her partner, Don Black, of Fort Edward, Colleen Flynn Corlew and her partner, Art Almy, of South Glens Falls; nine grandchildren: Bernadette LaSarso and her fiancé, Mark Zawistouski, of South Glens Falls, Alicia Poole and her husband, Keith, of Saratoga, Richard LaSarso and his wife, Jessica, of Queensbury, Erica LaMere and her husband, Clete, of South Glens Falls, Danielle Craft and her husband, Josh, of South Glens Falls, Sarah Corlew and her fiancé, Tyler Hazelton, of South Glens Falls, Cristy Corlew and her partner, Steve Bettie, of Saratoga Springs, Shelby Almy of South Glens Falls, Edward Corlew III of South Glens Falls; and nine great-grandchildren, Justine and Logan LaMere, Darrian and Zander Poole, Jackson and Madaline LaSarso, Kayden and Kylee Craft and Braxton Hazelton. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Regan & Denny Funeral Home, 94 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls. Those who wish may send a memorial donation in his memory to Moreau Emergency Squad, 1583 Route 9, Fort Edward, NY 12828 or C.R. Wood Cancer Center, Glens Falls Hospital, 102 Park St. Glens Falls, NY 12801.

Very sorry to hear about Don's passing.I can remember spending time at Don's house with my two brothers growing up.My dad had 3 boys and he had 3 girls.We had alot of fun whenever we went over to play at Mr.Flynns.Remember the Bassett Hound ?

I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I had the honor to take care of him while he was in Glens Falls Hospital. It is a sad day. I know Don is looking down on us and smiling. Take care of yourselves. And thank you for allowing me to take care of him.
