Linda Grant Obituary

Argyle Linda Jean Grant, 55, of Coach Road, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at her home. Born in Glens Falls on May 7, 1952, she was the daughter of Marie L. (Cooper) Sumner of Queensbury and the late George Alfred Sumner. Linda worked at CR Bard for more than 20 years, retiring in May of 2006. On Feb. 26, 1970, she married the love of her life, Gary Grant, at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Hudson Falls. Gary passed away on July 1, 2006. Linda enjoyed cooking for her family, especially at holiday time. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Gary Grant Jr. and his significant other, Vanessa Graham, of Argyle, a daughter, Kimberly Fleming and her husband, Thomas Jr., of Argyle; six grandchildren: Courtney, Jasmine and Joslyn Grant and Megan, Cody and Emily Fleming, all of Argyle; her mother, Marie Sumner Robinson of Queensbury; two sisters-in-law, Belva Grant of Fort Edward and Patricia Matraw of South Glens Falls; three brothers-in-law, Gordon Grant and his wife, Jean, of Fort Edward, Walter Grant of Glens Falls and Teddy Grant and his wife, Carol, of Medina and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward. E-mail condolences may be sent to www.kilmers.com. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, at the funeral home with the Rev. Rodney G. Mosher, pastor of the West Mountain Community Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Road, Queensbury. The family suggests that donations may be made in Linda's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205-5512.
