Christopher Chubb Obituary

SARATOGA SPRINGS Christopher C. Chubb passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at his home. He was 36. Born on Sept. 30, 1971, in Saratoga Springs, he is the son of Clayton and Barbara Williams Chubb Jr. Chris attended Saratoga Springs schools, graduating in 1989. He then continued his education at SUNY Cobleskill, receiving a business degree in 1992. Christopher worked at Quad Graphics in Saratoga Springs as a customer service representative. He was known as a sports enthusiast. He loved the Yankees, attending many games in "the House that Ruth Built." His passion for sports didn't stop there. He loved to watch NASCAR, the Boston Celtics, playing basketball on their parquet floor and America's team, the Dallas Cowboys, on Sunday afternoons. Chris loved to have fun with all of his friends. He will be missed dearly. Chris was predeceased by a sister, Amy Chubb who passed away in 1970, his grandparents, Clayton and Gertrude Chubb Sr. and Russell and Velma Williams, his uncle, Allan Gardner and a cousin, Michael Schultz. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Beth Ellen Roberts, her husband, Matthew, and their son, Andrew, all of Wilton; two aunts, Trudy Schultz and her husband, John, of Stillwater and Margaret Gardner of Arcadia, Fla.; one uncle, Ralph Hall of Hartford; many cousins, Scott and Jenn Gardner and their sons, Jerod and Liam of Maine; Tim and Adrienne Gardner and Gabby Perez of Ballston Spa; Debbie Becktoft, Sandy Donaldson, Robin, John and Christine Schultz and Trudy Weatherwax, all of Saratoga Springs and Lori Carman of Florida. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at the Saratoga United Methodist Church, Henning Road at Fifth Avenue, Saratoga Springs. Burial will follow in the family plot at Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Avenue. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Saratoga Springs National Little League Light Fund c/o Derrick LeGall, 3 Deerleap Place, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
