Frances Nobile Obituary

QUEENSBURY Frances (Heywood) Damiano Nobile, 89, formerly of Fairwood Drive, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home, Fort Edward. Born in Utah on April 7, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Alice (West) Heywood. Frances worked for the New York Telephone Co. in Glens Falls for over 40 years as a supervisor retiring in 1981. She was a life member and former past president of the Pioneers. Frances married Peter Nobile on July 16, 1994. The couple enjoyed traveling extensively and Frances especially loved her winters in Florida. She enjoyed all kinds of music and dancing with Peter especially to Lawrence Welk. An artist in her own right, Frances enjoyed painting. She also was an avid card player. Getting together with her weekly card club was a special pastime. Besides her parents, Frances was predeceased by her first husband, Guy Damiano in 1984, and a sister, Edna Heywood in 1946. Survivors besides her husband of 13 years include her son, Gary Damiano of Dallas, Texas; stepdaughters, Nan- cy and her husband, Bruce Imrie, of Queensbury, Donna Nobile of Glens Falls and Michele and her husband, Jack Barry, of Queensbury; her grandchildren, Alix and Justin Damiano of Dallas, Texas; several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main St., South Glens Falls. E-mail condolences may be sent to www.kilmers.com. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Cox, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls. Donations may be made in Frances' memory to the Alzheimer Association, 71 Glenwood Ave., Queensbury, NY 12804. The family would like to thank two very special people Doreen and Sharie. The family would also like to extend their thanks to Frances' caregivers on the "G-wing" at Fort Hudson Nursing Home.

Gary, So sorry to hear of your mom's death. I always enjoyed her company at the hunting club parties. She was a fun person to be around. My prayers are with you . Mrs Richard (Fran) Daly

Pete, Carol & I were sadened to here of Frans passing. We know you spent many happy times with Fran and that always made us happy. Sadly we are out of town which prevents us from conveying this in person.
