William Bruno Obituary

Schroon Lake William A. Bruno Jr., 76, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at the Glens Falls Hospital. Bill was born April 2, 1931, in Norwalk Conn., the son of the late William A. Sr. and Theresa Charriot Bruno. Bill was an automobile salesman for most of his life. He loved to play country music and played in many area bands around the North Country. He loved all sports and enjoyed a wager once in a while on his favorite teams. Bill was a former owner of the Wells House in Pottersville, N.Y. and he had resided in the Schroon Lake area for more than 20 years. Bill was a veteran of the Korean War where he served with the U.S. Air Force from 1955 until his discharge in 1959. Bill was loved by his friends and family and will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his two daughters, Toni A. Bruno of Danbury, Conn., and Theresa M. Bowman of Colton, Calif.; his son, Timothy W. Bruno of Wautoma, Wis.; his sister, Barbra Renzulli of Weston, Conn., and his grandchildren: Samantha, Danielle, Melissa and Trace; as well as several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted Monday morning Nov. 26, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Severance Cemetery, Schroon Lake. The family suggests memorials take the form of donations to the Lions Eye Institute, 35 Hackett Blvd., Albany, NY 12208, or to the charity of one's choice.

I am sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Even though I live in Schroon Lake I did not know it until today. My sincere sympathy. Thank you for remembering the Lions. Gene would have certainly appreciated that. He and your Dad had many good times together.
