Dorothy Seaman Obituary

QUEENSBURY Dorothy (Chebuske) Seaman, 82, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Eden Park Health Care Facility. Born on Feb. 28, 1925, in Glen Head, Long Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of Andrew and Staicia (Jankowski) Chebuske. Dorothy was a past active member of the Rosarian in Long Island. She also loved to knit, she was a knitter for RSVP and knitted lap robes for the residents of Westmount Health Facility. Dorothy also raised four strong sons. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leon Seaman. Survivors include her sons: Andrew Seaman and his wife, Susan, of Jacksonville, N.C., John Seaman and his wife, Kathy, of Long Island, N.Y., Peter Seaman of Queensbury and Christopher Seaman and his wife, Rita, of Long Island, N.Y.; three grandchildren: Jennifer, Christina and Jason; and her two sisters, Betty Wyanski of Long Island, N.Y. and Phyllis Joseph of Florida also survive her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, Aviation Road, Queensbury with Father Joseph Busch officiating. Burial will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville. Family and friends are invited and may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Regan & Denny Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury. Those who wish may send a remembrance in her name to the National Kidney Foundation, 99 Troy Road, East Greenbush, NY 12061.
