Herbert Taylor Obituary

STILLWATER Herbert A. Taylor, 62, of Route 4, died suddenly on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at the Saratoga Hospital, after being stricken with heart failure, while hunting with his brother in the town of Easton. Death was attributed to natural causes. Born in Mechanicville, Jan. 1, 1945, he was the son of the late Francis and Rhoda Bell Taylor. Herb and family lived in Mechanicville, Northville and later, Easton. He was a l963 graduate of Stillwater Central School. A self-employed carpenter, Herb worked for himself for most of his career, and lastly, worked for a Clifton Park construction company for several years before retiring last year. A former member of the Easton Volunteer Fire Department, Herb was a true sportsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. An excellent athlete in his youth, Herb played softball in the old Stillwater leagues for years. He also was an avid Adirondack Red Wings ice hockey fan for years. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Bonita Buck Gaughan Taylor; his daughter, Anne Marie Taylor Robinson and her husband, Dave, of Lake George; his brother, Francis (Penelope) Taylor of Easton; sisters, Lana Peck of South Carolina and Janice Taylor of Victory Mills; step-children, Richard and Jason Gaughan and Melissa Zdonick; grandchildren, Brett, Kayla and Jake; along with nieces and nephews. Donations in his memory may be made to the Lake George Emergency Squad, 24 Gage Road, Lake George, NY 12845.

Bonnie, Rich, Melissa and Jason
Our thougths are with yours at this time, Herb talked about yours all the time, and his grandkids, he always had funny stories about the grandkids. I know yours are all going to miss him, and he will miss all of yours too. But I am sure he will watch over all of yours.
