Anne Jones Obituary

Granville Anne M. Jones, 88, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at her home. She was born on Nov. 11, 1919, in Granville, the daughter of the late Charles Morehouse and Irene Morehouse Thomas. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Granville. She retired from General Electric in Hudson Falls and, during her earlier years, was employed by Telescope Folding Furniture Co. in Granville. She enjoyed sewing, hunting and riding her motorcycle. Besides her husband, Robert, who passed away in 1979, she is predeceased by a brother, George and sisters, Marion and Mabel. Anne is survived by her daughter, Judy Dashnaw and her husband, Hank, of Wilton; her son, Thomas E. Jones and his wife, Kathryn, of Granville; three grandsons: Stephen Dashnaw and his wife, Ania, Duane Dashnaw and Thomas E. Jones, II and his wife, Deb; three granddaughters, Lisa Tibbitts and her husband, Gary, Debra Schults and Erin Mundell and her husband, Chris; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Benincasa and Hazel Lee; and several nieces and nephews. At Anne's request, she will be cremated and there will be no calling hours. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall. Those who wish to make memorial contributions may do so to the Granville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 153, Granville, NY 12832 or the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, New York 12887.
