Louis Beylouny Obituary

Delray Beach, Fla. and South Glens Falls, N.Y. Louis E. Beylouny, 85, of Clark Street, South Glens Falls and formerly of Delray Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at the Glens Falls Hospital. Born on June 25, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Max and Zakia (Dallal) Beylouny. Louis was a graduate of Brooklyn Tech and was a conductor for the New York City Transit Authority. He was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII, having served in the Pacific Theater earning six Battle Stars. Louis enjoyed the South and Florida and, in April, moved back to New York state to be close to his sister and brother. He was a devout catholic and an avid Mets and Jets Fan. Survivors include his sister, Edna M. Hoffis of South Glens Falls and his brother, George A. Beylouny of State College, Pa.; and one niece and nephew. At Louis's request, there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main St., South Glens Falls, N.Y. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Brooklyn Tech Foundation, 29 Fort Green Place, Brooklyn, NY 11217.
