Nettie Hobson Buckley

RICHMOND, Va. and NORTH CREEK, N.Y. Nettie Hobson Buckley, 97, of Richmond Va. and North Creek, N.Y., died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at home in Richmond, Va. It is with great sadness we must say goodbye to a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nettie was born Feb. 12, 1910, in Richmond, Va., one of 13 children. She married John Buckley and moved to North Creek in 1932. Nettie worked at Johnsburg Central School for many years and was "Nana" to her grandchildren and all their friends. She was predeceased by her husband, John and granddaughter, Beth Colton Gapp as well as her 12 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughters, Ann (Alan) Tougas, and Joan (Hoopie) Colton; grandchildren: Gary (Janet) Colton, Kevin Colton, Jeffry Tougas, Scott (Lynn) Tougas and Suzanne Taylor; great-grandchildren: David and Jennifer Gapp, Megan Colton, Kelsie, Morgann and Kaysen Taylor and Rachel and Jacob Tougas; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. At Nettie's request, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at St. James Cemetery in North Creek.
