Dear Aunt Char;
I remember when I first got the call about Candi's death. Of course, it was a shock. Candi was my cousin, someone who was so filled with vitality and reason for living and now, she was gone? How could it be, that after so many years of not seeing my own cousin, could it seem as just yesterday that we last spoke?
Candi was more than a cousin, she was a friend; she honored me long ago after the birth of her first daughter, Megan. Candi was honest and direct, funny and to the point. She made it clear that she respected me and asked if I would be Megan's godmother! How proud Candi made me feel, how enormous I felt as a person and as Candi's friend! Those times with Candi when Megan was in diapers were short and sweet, but Candi and I had a special bond: her daughter, Megan. I will never forget that day in Church holding Megan during the Baptism while she pulled at my earrings. Candi knew what Megan was doing but the priest was in the middle of his blessing. Candi kept looking towards me and we had all we could do to keep our mouth's shut. That was Candi: alive, full of life and ready to live. I will so miss Candi and all her honesty and laughter.
I pray for Candi all the time, I miss her and I will never forget her.
Godspeed,
Carey Ann

I am so sad to hear about Candy. She was a great friend, we had so much fun during our high school years. She was a great person and I will deeply miss her. Although I have not seen her in 18 years ;my memories of her and the gang during the 80's always makes me smile. May her family find peace in knowing she was loved by so many people.
GOD Bless !

Billy, Meaghan, Ashley and Jana & the entire Broderick family -
My heart goes out to you during this very difficult time. The holidays are going to be very tough, but I have found since losing my dad recently, that the only thing that gets me through is to think of the good times we shared.
Please keep your spirits as high as you can.

I met Candi when she began working at Price Chopper in Granville, NY. She truly was not only a co-worker, but a friend as well. She was like a second mother to me. There was nothing we could not talk about. Candi, you are dearly missed.

To the Broderick and McAvoy families,
I was so shocked and so very sad to see Candi's picture in the paper. She was always so special to me, she left her mark on my heart. Candi always knew how to keep things light and how to keep me laughing. I haven't seen her in such a long time. I've often thought about how she was doing now that she was an adult. I was surprised and delighted to see that Candi had married and was a Mom. My heart is breaking for her girls.
I Thank God for allowing me the privilege of having had Candi in my life. I will never, ever, forget her.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Spread your Wings, Candi!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Charlene, Tim, Missy, Stephanie, (and Candy's husband and children). At a time like this it's never easy to know what to say. So I'll just say I can't imagine what you all are going through, it's not supposed to happen this way. I'm truly sorry for your loss.

Charlene, Missy, Stephanie and Tim, this goes without saying, but I don't think I've ever been so shocked as to see Candy's face in the obituaries. I remember spending so many weekends at your house with Candy, we had a lot of good times. When we moved next door to you in Cohoes, Candy and I became instant friends, I'll never forget the great times we had together. Although I haven't had contact with Candy for quite some time, she is definitely on my mind and in my prayers today. It's all I can think about. I'm so sorry.
