Anna C. Brooks

MOREAU Anna C. Brooks, 98, a former resident of Lamplighter Acres, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007 at the Stanton Nursing Center. Born in Warrensburg on Aug. 20, 1909, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Benson) Noonan. In 1946, she married John C. Brooks at the Glens Falls United Methodist Church. Anna was a member of the Church of Messiah in Glens Falls. She was an accomplished seamstress, a great cook and loved working in her flower garden. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Brooks in 2004, a son, Harold S. Carpenter, a brother, William Noonan and a son-in-law, Herman J. Marino. Survivors include a daughter, Marie E. Marino of South Glens Falls; a granddaughter, Patricia Rosenberg and her husband, Alan, of Brooklyn; a grandson, Daniel Marino and his wife, Debbie, of Moreau; a great-granddaughter, Pamela Morehouse and her husband, Craig, of Moreau; two great-great-grandchildren, Zachary Morehouse and Serena Morehouse; a sister-in-law, Adelaide St. Denis of Hudson Falls; her nieces and nephews, Eddie Brooks, John St. Denis, Robert St. Denis, Mary St. Denis and Anne Blum. At Anna's request, there will be no calling hours. Condolences may be sent to www.kilmers.com. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the spring at Southside Cemetery, South Glens Falls. The family suggests that memorial donations be made in Anna's name to American Cancer Society, Mount Royal Plaza, 959 state Route 9, Queensbury, NY 12804 or the Moreau Emergency Squad, 1583 state Route 9, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
