Uncle Ray was always kind to me as a child, always wanting to know what I had been up to, and sharing stories with me. He had the strongest hands - from gripping all those milk bottles, I guess! When I was a college student and needed money for books, he was there to help. Later, after I had moved away, it was always nice to see him whenever I visited home.
He and my dad were best friends in the later years, playing pool and poker at the Senior Center, and Kings in the Corner in Ray's kitchen. I'm sure my dad, along with the rest of the family who have gone before Ray, will be glad to be reunited with him.
He was unusual, living long and well. I will miss my favorite uncle.

I remember Ray and his wife, Irene as being long time members of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. My parents, Lorraine & Douglas Briggs were charter members.

Ray was the brother of my Grandmother, Doris Hubble. My father David and I viited Ray at his home shortly after the death of my Grandfather, Charles Brower, (husband of Doris.)
I had a great time talking to Ray, he and my Grandfather were close friends. Que la vaya bien!

We are so saddened about Ray's passing. He was our neighbor for 35 years. We were so fortunate to know him and we enjoyed him so much. He was always ready to help and eager to show kindness and generosity. He was a genuine and sincere person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a prince. We will remember him with fondness. Linda and George Shevlin and Family.
