William Danley Obituary



DANLEY, WILLIAM III, "Carrot Top", 51 - of Egg Harbor Township, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, June 14, 2008 at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Galloway. Bill was born in Atlantic City and raised in Duck Town having lived in Pitney Village. He moved to Galloway about 15 years ago, living there with his wife Leah. Following her death, he moved to Egg Harbor Township. Bill had been employed most recently at the Red Roof Inn in West Atlantic City in the Maintenance Department. He was very handy and enjoyed tinkering and fixing thinks for anyone. He especially enjoyed working on anything that he could fix with duct tape. Bill enjoyed life; he always played the part of the clown, the life of the party, keeping everyone smiling. And he loved riding his bike. Bill is predeceased by his by his parents; William and Dorothy (Drummond) Danley and his beloved wife Leah (nee Nelling), whose passing left a tragic and unfilled void in his life. He is survived by his daughter Teddy Hackney Santone of Egg Harbor City, sons Rich Hackney of Galloway, Kenny Hackney of Las Vegas and Cliff Hebb of PA.; seven grandchildren, two brothers; Joseph Danley of Atlantic City and Bobby Danley of Somers Point; two sisters; Jackie Ireland and Margie Danley, both of Atlantic City; three nephews, four nieces, ten grandnephews, our grandnieces and his best friend John Todd of Somers Point. The Funeral Mass for William "Bill" Danley will be Celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2008, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, California and Atlantic Avenues, AC. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. at the Church. Arrangements by the Gormley Funeral Home, LLC, AC.
