William Conover Obituary



CONOVER, WILLIAM A., (Capt. Bill), 93 - longtime Atlantic City Boat Capt. passed away at Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield, on June 20, 2008. William was born on October 16, 1914 in Atlantic City. He is predeceased by wives Sophie and Hazel, brother George, sister Virginia and son-in-law Tony Eble. He is survived by his brother Harry; sons William and Stephen; daughter Kathleen; daughter-in-law Marianne; stepdaughters Emma and Pat; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Captain Bill operated the fishing vessels Sea Spirit and Sea Spirit II from Capt. Starns Inlet Pier for forty years. He moved to St. James City in Florida until 2006 when he returned to the area. Services for Captain Bill will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to and condolences may be sent to the family at www.adams-perfect.com.
