Donovan Davis Obituary
DAVIS, DONOVAN LLOYD, "Danny", 50 - of Pleasantville, died suddenly, June 18, 2008, in the AtlantiCare Medical Center - Mainland Campus. Danny was born April 3, 1958, in Saint Catherine, Jamaica to the late Alton Davis and Muriel Atkinson. Donovan is a 1970 graduate of St. Andrew Technical High School in Kingston, Jamaica. Danny moved to Atlantic City in 1996 and gained employment with Caesars' Casino in the Beverage Department where he worked until his death. Everyone who knew Danny will agree that he was a quiet, reserved gentleman who loved to spend time with his family. He was always smiling and will be remembered for having a most relaxed and pleasant personality. Everyone admired his pride in his children's achievements. Mr. Davis is predeceased by: his father, Alton and sister, Maurine. He is survived by: mother, Muriel Atkinson; beloved wife, Lorna Davis; son, Deveen Davis and daughter, Davetta Davis both of New Jersey; son, Omar and daughter, Jahdine both of Jamaica; brothers, Howard, Junior and Mark; sisters, Georgia, Jennifer, Marcia, Olive, Carla, and Karen; grandchildren, Shamare, Tedo, Mickala and Jordane; and a host of other family and friends. Donovan will be missed by all his family and friends. Their lives will never be the same without him. Funeral services will be 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2008, Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 5 p.m. Interment will be in Dovecot Memorial Park in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica.

To the Davis Famiy: I offer sincere heartfelt condolences on the loss of your loved one. I had the opportunity to experience D's wonderful spirit while working at Caesars(Gladiator) his smile and his pleasant words he was a wonderful person to be around always made you feel at ease ..Just know that know hes in a better place and that with every wind that blows hes there in your heart stay strong and trust in the lord.
