Elfie Williamson Obituary

WILLIAMSON, ELFIE, 66 - a longtime resident of Upper Deerfield Township, died Sunday morning June 22, 2008 at the Woodstown Friends Nursing Home in Woodstown after an extended illness. She was born in Germany and was the daughter of the late Otto E. and Elfriede (nee Kretschmer) Herrmann. Mrs. Williamson had been a resident of the Woodstown Friends since 2005 and prior to that was a longtime resident of Martin Drive in Upper Deerfield Township. A former employee of Seabrook Brothers and Sons, Mrs. Williamson worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for Roorke Farm Supply on Rt. 77 for nearly twenty years before retiring in 2001. She was a Bridgeton High School graduate. Survivors include two sons, Larry Hawkins and his wife Madelyn of Pocono Lake, PA and Bryan Hawkins and his wife Kim of Lawrence Township and three grandchildren, Christina Hawkins and Nicholas and Bradley Hawkins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service which will be held Friday afternoon June 27, 2008 at 3 o'clock at the West Park United Methodist Church, 625 Shiloh Pike in Hopewell Township. Pastor David L. Strope will officiate. The burial of the cremated remains will take place privately at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the church Friday afternoon from 2pm until 3pm. Written condolences and tributes may be expressed to the family using the funeral home Web site, freitagfuneralhome.com. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freitag Funeral Home of Bridgeton.
