Yvonne Gossiaux Obituary



GOSSIAUX, YVONNE A., 82 - of Deerfield Township, died Tuesday morning, June 24, 2008 at her home. She had been in declining health for the last few years. She was the daughter of the late Francis Rene Gossiaux Sr. and the late Mary (nee Sayre) Gossiaux. She was a lifelong resident of the family homestead in Deerfield Township. Miss Gossiaux was a graduate of Bridgeton High School with the class of 1944 and was a longtime employee of Prudential Insurance in Millville as a personnel consultant. She retired in 1986. She also worked for several years at Rovner's Department Store in Bridgeton. An active member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Bridgeton, she was a longtime member of the food committee at the church. In addition, she was a member of the Bridgeton Civic Club and had served as civic club president. She is survived by one sister, Shirley P. Gossiaux, with whom she lived and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Rene Gossiaux Jr. and an infant brother, Frederick Gossiaux. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 312 N. Pearl St., Bridgeton on Friday, June 27th at 12:00 Noon. Friends will be received at the church on Friday morning between 11 and 12. The burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bridgeton. Memorial contributions are suggested in Miss Gossiaux's memory to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 312 N. Pearl St., Bridgeton, NJ 08302. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freitag Funeral Home of Bridgeton.
