Tammy and Amber,
Fred's service was wonderful -- a precious time that truly gave honor to him and his life. You did a wonderful job pulling everything together, in a very stressful time -- I know that he was very pleased and very proud of you both. If there is anything that I can do for you, anything, please know that I am only a phone call away. My prayers are with you both.

To my Dear sister Tammy,

I love the humor that you and Fred shared..How Fred never ever say unkind words to you..How much Fred loved you and Amber..How much Fred loved Burmese food..I also loved the way he hugs the family..We have gotten closer in the past couple of years..Fred's time was short on earth..we will miss him very much..Tammy, you know that you and Amber can count on us..Fred I know that you are with God and that gives me peace..Until we meet again Fred, may God keep Tammy, Amber, John, Kathleen, your mother, and the Van Dongen Family in the palm of his hands...

Tammy, We are both so shocked and so, so sad to hear of Fred's leaving us. It's such a helpless feeling not to know what we can do for you. Call anytime you want, just to say hi or for anything at all. It would be a favor to us to be able to do something for you. In the meantime, know that we are keeping you and Fred both in our prayers. Our best to you and your daughter, Love, Thea (Steve) and Joe Ryley

Dearest Tammy and Amber,
Joe and I were shocked to hear of Fred's passing. We will always remember the great times we had working together at the Claridge. We will charish the memories of the fun we had at our yearly bar-b-ques. But most of all I will remember Fred's humor when he walked in the door of our house, after I had married Joe, and redecorated the house. Fred's comment was, "Wow, it looks so different" then he saw Joe in the familyroom and said, "Joe, what the hell happen to the bachlor pad!" God Bless you Fred.

Cathy, John, Tammy and Amber, I am shocked and saddened to hear this news. Being a very old friend of Fred's (since middle school) I best remember his sense of humor, especially his imitations. When he dressed up at Halloween as Hans (Hans and Franz) he made the kids laugh, and he loved doing that. He was spot on with his Hans/Ahnold imitation. I never met Amber but the times I spoke to Fred over the years, he brimmed with pride and love. Fred also loved music and really loved his cats (Sua, Buck and Bill). I hope he has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is together with his beloved family members and animal friends again. His former in-laws send kind thoughts and prayers to all. Best, Bryan Grigsby and Susan Van Dongen-Grigsby, Frank and Kathy Verdi
