Christian F. Rossetti

ROSSETTI, CHRISTIAN F., 93, - passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, July 1, 2007 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by family. Born in Philadelphia to Charles and Mary (nee Rossi) Rossetti, Christians' family moved to the shore area when he was a child. He graduated from Atlantic City High School and was a familiar figure in the 2900 block of Fairmount Avenue. He had been a Life Insurance Salesman with Washington National and a tax account as well. Mr. Rossetti was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the mandolin and he also enjoyed dancing. He loved horses and horse racing and had enjoyed his opportunity to work at the Atlantic City Race Course. Christian Rossetti led a long, healthy, happy life, always charming and up-beat, smiles came very easy from his face. Mr. Rossi is predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife Mary (nee Rossi). Surviving him are; his brother Edward Rossetti, sister Gloria, daughter Linda Jordan and son-in-law Stephen Jordan, son Christian Rossetti and daughter-in-law Catherine Rossetti. Also surviving him are six grandchildren; Lisa Foley, Shannon Bennett, Stephen Jordan, Philip Jordan, Kevin Jordan and Christian Rossetti and six great-grandchildren; Hunter and Connor Foley, Garrett and Abigail Bennett, Cole Jordan and Adrianna Rossetti. Finally, he leaves behind all of his Atlantic City Race Track buddies. The Funeral Mass for Christian F. Rossetti will be Celebrated 10:00am Saturday, July 5, 2008, at St. Michaels Church 10 North Mississippi Avenue, AC. Friends may call from 9:00am at the Church. Rite of Committal will be offered at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Michaels Church. In light of the holiday weekend, Christians' family understands many friends will be with their families and they should feel no obligation to leave to attend the services. Christian would have wanted it that way. His family extends a warm thank you for the wonderful and compassionate care given Christian during his illness by Heartland Hospice and his nurse Cathy.
