Melvin Milkovich Obituary



MILKOVICH, MELVIN D., "Boot", 67 - of Northfield, formerly of Mays Landing, passed away July 3, 2008. Born in Johnstown, PA on May 31, 1941, he attended school in Philadelphia and Atlantic City. After serving in the U.S. Army as a rifleman, he worked for the U.S. Post Office for over 30 years. After retirement, he enjoyed bird hunting with his dog Annie and restoring automobiles. He is survived by his sister Susan M. Sutton of Northfield, brother Michael G. Sutton of Egg Harbor City and stepbrothers Frank and Carl Sutton. He is also survived by his nieces Stephanie and Jennifer Rafter and Christine Lauman and nephews Richard and Matthew Cummins. "Mel" will be sadly missed by his buddies Bob of Deltona Tire and Dean of English Creek Supply. He was predeceased by his mother Antonia J. Sutton, stepfather Francis N. Sutton, father Peter Milkovich and sister Antoinette Cummins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Bernadette's Church, Northfield with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona. Donations may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Atlantic County, 1801 Absecon Blvd., Atlantic City, NJ 08401.
