Joel Connell Obituary
CONNELL, JOEL D., 30 - of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully in his Mother's arms on July 3, 2008 at the Cooper Hospital, Camden. He is survived by his beautiful Daughter Hannah Connell, of EHT. He will be so loved and missed by his Father and Mother Joseph C. Connell and Donna of EHT. Sister Bobbi Gunnels and her husband John of Galloway and brother Devon Connell at home. He loved being Uncle Joel to Abby & Riley Gunnels, and is also survived by his Grandmother, Mary Connell, who always kept him in her prayers, and many Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. Joel was a graduate of E.H.T. High School class of 1997. Throughout his life he loved reading, writing, art and music. He enjoyed skateboarding especially with his brother Devon. When he was younger he loved hockey and wrestling. Most recently, Joel like to jog, lift weights, and exercise with his daughter. A Memorial Mass in his memory will be celebrated Wednesday 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church, Shore Rd., Somers Point. Friends may call starting at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hannah Connell Education Fund c/o Joseph C. Connell, 4 South Ave., Egg Harbor Twp., NJ 08234. Arrangements by the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home.

The Connell Family, I just wanted to let you know that you guys are in my prayers. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Wow, Joel and I go back to the toddler days in A.C. It's funny how we seemed to live right down the street from each other, in EHT, throughout different periods of our lives. Though life hasn't always been so easy friend, may you now truly rest in peace. May God bless your family and give them peace during this difficult time.

I knew joel from EHT high, I wasn't close to him, but I always apreciated the way he carried himself! Different in a cool way! Im sorry for your loss, My prayers are with your family. Just a cool dude!
